The Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce has named Scott Harper as its new president a position he held nearly a decade ago following the resignation of Brian Bondy in January. Bondy had accepted a position as the president of the Granbury Chamber of Commerce.
Harper has more than 21 years of nonprofit experience, with 16 of those with the YMCA in Tampa and Houston, according to a news release from the chamber. After his graduation from the University of Southern Mississippi, Harper started his professional career with the corporate fitness center of Wal-Mart.
Harper was hired in January 2012 to serve as the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce president.
