Marian A. Botzet, age 86 of Crystal, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2022, with her children by her side. Marian was raised in Belle River, MN. That is where she met the love of her life and married Melvin in 1959. Marian and Melvin moved to Crystal, MN after their first three of five children were born. Marian was a stay-at-home mom until the family moved to Rockford, MN in 1972. A self-taught cake decorator, she obtained a job decorating cakes at the local Red Owl bakery. She baked and decorated wedding, birthday and all occasion cakes for 45 years, and was affectionately known as the “Cake Lady.” Many people have had a cake baked and decorated by Marian! She also worked as a dental assistant/receptionist, not retiring until she was 75 years old! She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She loved greatly and was greatly loved and will forever be in our hearts. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Beverly (Verlon) Schmitz, Brenda (Charles) Olson, Bernice (Andr
