Veteran cbs news correspondent bob simon is being remembered the morning as a reporters reporter. A gifted writer who reported from the most dangerous places on earth. Simon was killed last night in a car accident here in new york city. He was a passenger in a cab that hit another car that had stopped at a traffic light. Cbs news anchor scott pelley announced simons death in a special report. His body of work earned bob too many journal is tick medals to count here tonight. His daughter tania is a producer and tonight our thoughts are with tania and bobs family and his many many friends. During his 47 years here at cbs news simon reported on everything from riots to movies but it was as a Foreign Correspondent that simon made his name.
