This recent weeks there’s been national attention to the District 87 school board meeting that took place June 9 2021. The McLean County GOP chair Connie Beard said she thinks that this has created an opportunity and an awareness on the part of parents.
“Their involvement in what’s happening in schools is vital. Parents need to be involved in who is running their schools and that starts with the school board. Those elections are far more critical than people seem to think,” said Beard “Hopefully, there’s a growing awareness and understanding how important the school boards are.”
