Casualty star Charles Venn has hinted that his character Jacob Masters could potentially be about to enjoy a new romance after splitting from Connie Beauchamp again. Jacob suffered a traumatic ordeal in last night s episode (January 30) after he was targeted by Roy, the widowed husband of a late patient. With an explosive belt strapped to himself, Roy demanded to speak to Jacob – who he held responsible for his wife s death – before detonating the bomb outside the hospital.

But could Tina be the one for Jacob? Charles isn t too sure whether Jacob is ready to dive into another serious relationship just yet, considering how intense his time with Connie has been. There is a spark and a bit of chemistry there between him and Tina. But is it something that would go beyond a cheeky kiss? Who knows, the actor told us. I don t actually know if that is where Jacob s mind is at this stage. He s just come out of something really intense in his on-off relationship with Connie to dive straight into another one. I m not sure if that s Jacob s intention. Work is his priority and there is so much going on in his life. I m not sure if the thing with Tina is something that will develop or not – we will have to wait and see.
