But could Tina be the one for Jacob? Charles isn t too sure whether Jacob is ready to dive into another serious relationship just yet, considering how intense his time with Connie has been. There is a spark and a bit of chemistry there between him and Tina. But is it something that would go beyond a cheeky kiss? Who knows, the actor told us. I don t actually know if that is where Jacob s mind is at this stage. He s just come out of something really intense in his on-off relationship with Connie to dive straight into another one. I m not sure if that s Jacob s intention. Work is his priority and there is so much going on in his life. I m not sure if the thing with Tina is something that will develop or not – we will have to wait and see.

A new year and a new real-crime drama. This immaculately designed eight-part thriller follows the hunt for Charles Sobhraj, a conman and serial killer who preyed on young backpackers on the South East Asian “hippy trail” during the mid-1970s. We first meet Sobhraj (played with suitably chilling menace by Tahar Rahim) posing as a gem salesman on the fringes of Bangkok’s red-light district, with Jenna Coleman speaking in a French-Canadian accent as the killer’s girlfriend and accomplice. Billy Howle plays the Dutch diplomat whose hunt for two backpackers from the Netherlands throws him unwittingly on to Sobhraj’s trail.
