The Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway jointly built by China and Indonesia was put into operation on 7 September. The fastest travel time between the two places was reduced from 7.3 hours to 5 minutes. Commercial operation will begin in early October, when the number of passenger trains will be determined according to market demand to meet the travel needs of people along the line.
