Windham and Tolland counties saw up to 2 inches of rain over the weekend, with much more in some spots, that all mostly fell in short periods of time, creating flash flood warnings.
Although rivers and streams are beginning to recede, Willimantic fire and town officials are still urging people to stay away from the Willimantic River until it recedes back to normal levels.
