Acreage Holdings, a multistate cannabis operator and cultivator with three medical dispensaries in the state, announced this week it’s launching a social equity partnership in greater New Haven.
The company said, pending approval from the Social Equity Council, it’s planning to establish a retail and cultivation social equity partnership with Kebra Smith-Bolden, founder of CannaHealth.

This year, Connecticut has the opportunity to join the 15 states that have replaced the failed policy of cannabis prohibition with sensible and effective regulation. Now that the bill has advanced from the Judiciary Committee, we urge the Finance Committee to support Senate Bill 888, “An Act Responsibly and Equitably Regulating Adult-use Cannabis” and send it to the General Assembly floor for immediate consideration.

Connecticut is set to become the final state in the Tri-State region to legalize marijuana.
Following New York and New Jersey s leads,
S.B. 888would end prohibition in the Nutmeg State and create a regulated market. Submitted by Republican Gov. Ned Lamont, it s known as An Act Responsibly and Equitably Regulating Adult-Use Cannabis.
