the political willingness to do that in congress. or in the administration. dana: so congressman jimenez asked mayokas to allow these four individuals to testify. we can put them up on the screen. what do you think are the chances of them testifying and what do you think you would learn if you heard from them? of course jimenez serves district 26. i m in district 27. i think it is a fantastic idea. let s hear from the people in the trenches. what will they tell you? we are tired. we cannot sustain this situation. we need help. we need resources. so we need to bring the technology that is out there. listen, i want the american people to know that this is a very fixable problem. it is very simple. just put the money that we need in order to buy the technology. i m talking about drones and all types of technology. we don t need to be experts.
i think that what this gridlock underscores is that we re working through an ongoing question that republicans have not answered. that is it tenable for any republican to pick up and hold the gavel for some period of time. is this a job that any republican can do. neil: david, looking at this, it could go on awhile. this could delay what republicans want to to. there s no business to be had until they settle this business to be had. we could be a ways from that. that s a frustrating process. for some that might love kevin mccarthy, they might say this ain t worth that. i m not sure, although you raise a good point. i want to point to something that congressman jimenez told you. 90% elected kevin mccarthy to be speaker of the house and 10%
his guess that some of the movement perhaps starting to happen tonight. i don t think it starts with the third vote. i think the third vote will tell us a lot. again, if we see that number grow, if it gross from 19 up and it s all jim jordan again, well, then there s going to be some hard and tough conversations that happen. right now so far, i think gop leadership and kevin mccarthy are digging their heels in the sand. they re not going anywhere. neil: i don t want you to go anywhere. i want to pick your fine brain on this. we ll talk about enclaves in a second. here s carlos jimenez, the florida congressman elect. that s what you are until this is solved. does that part of it bug you? i m sure you re itching to get to work. you can t do anything until this is settled. that s right. aim congressman elect until we elect a speaker and i can get sworn in.
