130 olive ridley turtle hatchlings were released back to their natural habitat in Zamboanga del Norte, following their discovery by local resident Ricky Boy Sorbilla. Led by DENR officials and local leaders, the hatchlings were given the opportunity to imprint on the beach, ensuring their return as mature turtles. This crucial step is vital for their reproductive cycle, as the Olive Ridley turtle is considered vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
