now have that, is that a fair statement matt gaetz? i really think we are coalescing around that vision. i am very optimistic about where we are right now. we simply would not allow business as usual to continue and that wasn t personal towards anyone, that was a problem with washington that existed under both republicans and democrats. lauren boebert and i hear from our constituents they want this town to change in these fundamental changes if we can get the finishing touches on them they will far outlast lauren boebert and i. they will outlast kevin mccarthy and they will deliver for the american people and to stop the terrible spending bills that are pushing our country into debt and to borrow against the future of the next generation. sean: i think we just disagree at different points i know things have been agreed to behind closed doors and maybe it didn t filter down to the rank and file but also people didn t want an agreement, they wanted it in writing, they wanted greater
choosing whether to vote for kevin mccarthy, lauren boebert has been critical of mccarthy. if he could get these folks to vote present, he could hold out. if he could flip one to yes or mccarthy. they are confident thangd get there. and even matt gaetz who is considered a never, ever, ever, kevin in that camp, he said, at this point, there s nothing else really they could ask of him because he s essentially given in to everything they ve demanded. that gives you a glimpse into just how much kevin mccarthy has given in terms of concessions. in the final moments it s been a pressure campaign to grind down the remaining opposition and to try and convince them to at least vote present as they head to the final vote here, anderson. we talked about this in the
