Community, i didnt have any family here. I didnt have any friends here. But i had heard about samuel which i had never heard about before in 2009 when i was looking for a setting for one of the stories i did not recession effect for the washington post. And somebody mentioned to me there was a community in wisconsin just had lost a big old General Motors plant. And i thought that was interesting but i didnt come here at the time because this is just happened. And eyes you know a lot of people were still getting subsidence today. So the economic pain for some people had really begun to see ben. So i didnt, but gainesville lingered in my mind and as i was getting close to Getting Started after i did this kind of scary thing is taking some time off from my job, i kept thinking about variousplaces i could go , something inside me kept telling me that Jake Gainesville might be the place. So why was that. One reason was that i need to find a place that had lost a lot of jobs and you definite
It was 18,000 on election day. Profits looking very strong. This is the time when corporations tell us how they are doing financially, the story is theyve never made as much money as they are making now. Tax cuts, here is something positive on that. A timeline, details in september, a house vote in october, a senate vote in november, that would be just fine if republicans can pull it off. And jobs, lots of optimistic forecast about fridays big jobs report. You look at washington, you see a mess. You look at the economy and the markets and you see something different. The hope of growth. 22,000, here it comes and Varney Company is about to begin. [laughter] stuart nice graphics. Aw. Who is that . The cars. Of course. Light the graphic. That pleases me. Trump. You know, andy card, chief of staff to president george w. Bush. It seems to me that president s always come to washington to change history and history always changes them. I think it is both. Every president has changed much more than they thought they would be by serving as president. A lot has to do because of the sacrifices. They are very moved by the american people. Especially those that step up and say i will serve. So the call to Noble Service is an important call for the president to recognize and reward. That is never taken for granted by george w. Bush. Never. He greatly appreciated anyone who served, whether it was as a staff at the white house. With the battle with iraq or afghanistan, he was completely grateful to the Service People gave to this country. I have heard him say at times when he was being heavily criticized and he would say look, nobody made me do this. He recognized that that was part of the job. And it was very very tough. He had phenomenal parents
