RB Sreekumar, a former Director-General of Police (DGP), has been granted regular bail in a case of fabricating evidence connected to the 2002 Gujarat riots. The Gujarat High Court let Sreekumar go on a personal bond of Rs 25,000, instructing him to surrender his passport. He had already been out on interim bail. The Supreme Court granted social activist, Teesta Setalvad, bail in the same case on July 19.
