then congress comes back for a few days and then you have for the summer. when you mix in the fix we re getting into summer when congress isn t around, what does the schedule look like here? it s going to be a bit of a rush. they re saying they want a vote on both of these things, the bipartisan bill and a democratics only reconciliation package in july. there are few days in july, as you point out, when they re all going to be here to pull this off. this is a deal democrats are saying we have to do it this way or we re not going to have the votes to get any of this done. i was talking to congresswoman debbie dingle a minute or so ago she said people hate it when i make the warning but don t make plans for the first week of august. then they have to write the details of the bills. it s likely they ll have to come back in the fall, finalize
them. sure, it can be politically dangerous and has been politically dangerous. look at mark sanford in south carolina. it was fatal for him, politically fatal for him. having said that, you re right that i think in part it s because this is july 4th week. congress isn t around. if you look at twitter, there have been a lot of comments expressing outrage from former bush staffers, from people who have you negotiatiknow, peop worked as ambassadors to elsewhere in bush white houses and beyond the bush white houses. heck of a lot easier when you don t have your lek troelectora fortunes in danger. this is happening after the white house announced yesterday the hiring of the former fox executive bill shine, now deputy chief of staff for communications. he of course resigned from fox last year after being accused of covering up several sexual harassment scandals there.
potentially something different this time and the difference is the kids who at that school in parkland who immediately said, you know, this is ridiculous. look at this. look at, you know, that s my friend. right. who sat next to me in class who s now dead. and we have to do something. that s a powerful, powerful message from those messengers and if it spreads, if it can catch fire, they re planning marches, they re planning actions in tallahassee and in washington, and also there s this time, congress isn t around, it will be interesting. they might have to do something. what s so interesting too, is what they re asking for is not what most people, even hillary clinton, gun group gun
