Puducherry [India], March 14 (ANI): Miffed over seat-sharing talks with the DMK, Congress leader MP Venkatesan on Sunday raised the DMK flag during a meeting of the Congress's Election Committee in Puducherry today.

The coming days would see political parties from West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Assam and Puducherry slug it out to form governments during the state assembly elections. The four states and one Union territory are scheduled to go to poll starting from March 26. While the ruling TMC is vying to retain power for a third striaght term in West Bengal, in Tamil Nadu, the ruling alliance is being challenged by the DMK-Congress combine. Just like TMC in West Bengal, BJP is trying to retain power in Assam and try and form the government in Kerala for the first time. The counting of votes is scheduled for May 2. Puducherry [India], March 14 (ANI): Additional security forces were deployed outside the Congress office in Puducherry after ruckus took place during the Congress s Election Committee meeting on Sunday.
The scuffle started after Congress leader MP Venkatesan waved a DMK flag in the meeting. Members entered into verbal arguments and started getting physical by pulling and pushing one another. Former chief minister V Narayanasamy was also present at the meeting.
Polling for 30 assembly seats in Puducherry will be held on April 6.
The Congress has entered into an alliance with the DMK, the Communist Party of India (CPI) and the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK). According to their seat-sharing agreement, Congress will contest from 15 seats and the DMK from 13 in 30-member Puducherry Assembly. The CPI and the VCK will field their c

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 29 : Leader of Opposition and senior Congress leader, Ramesh Chennithala, has said the Chief Minister s post will be decided by the party only after the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections.
Chennithala said he does not have any issues even if he is not considered for any post and added that he is a disciplined foot soldier of the party and his only aim is to bring the party and the United Democratic Front (UDF) back to power in the state.
