I also wish to express our gratitude to the honorable ronald chief judge for the us court of appeals for the Second Circuit and all his efforts to make this extraordinary symposium possible for our community. I look forward to sharing a few more words about the judge in just a moment. Id also like to think professor mary and professor wendy from our Georgetown Law Center who will join the justice in conversation today. We may have our differences, but we do well in times like these to remember that everyone who serves in our Nations Capital is here because above all they love our country. We can all agree we are blessed to be americans. That our children deserve to grow up in a nation of safety and peace, and we are strongest when we are unified. Obligation here for members of the senate and the house to decide its nice to belong to a Political Club, i believe to a Republican Party. I belong to the club, i was on the bowling team. I belong to things too but my oath, i took an oath and my oath was to defend the constitution of the United States not to defend my Political Club and so youre right, it has a lot to do with public pressure and its how the Congress Responds doing its job even if the majority of your constituents say, well, we are going to run somebody against you or we are going to primary you, you know, tough. If you cant stand that, dont take the oath of office, dont prom youll obey the constitution if youre not, we are not that far away. I feel impelled or compelled to say that i belong to the society but so far dean hasnt made me take an oath. I will take notes. Just to echo the what you say, i think its critically important that that congress has as an institution protect itself and prerogatives and the governmen
And shine up and adam, it is much more hospitalible this weekend than la its not a typical august week. I almost said july. Its not a typical july week, youre right about that, its a typical august week. That would have been incorrect. Really, i mean, yeah, its rain returning tomorrow. But no today. So tomorrow is some rain look there could be thunderstorms too, well talk about that during the morning hours, mondays are never a good thing, you add a little rain and makes for a difficult commute. We could have a chance for tomorrow morning and evening as well. Not today. Its 70 out there. Look at gaithersburg, 59 degrees. So theres 50s in the suburb, culpeper your 59, fredericksberg is 61, a will be of cloud cover coming across right now, but as the sun gets up and higher, it looks like its going to burn that off because most of what we have is thunderstorms back out to the west. Usually burning off. 50s and a few lower 60, it wont be quite as delightful as it was yesterday but still re
