Meath duo retire from inter-county camogie
January 26, 2021
Meath s Emily Kelly and Aoife Maguire
Meath’s Emily Kelly and Aoife Maguire have announced their retirement from the inter-county camogie scene.
Both players have been an integral part of Meath teams for many years.
The veterans were on board as Meath claimed All Ireland junior honours in 2012 and the All Ireland Intermediate title in 2017.
Meath’s run in the 2020 All Ireland Intermediate championship was brought to a halt by Down at the semi final stage but Maguire finished the season in style when picking up the Player of the Match Award and helping her club Killyon to the county intermediate title. She also led the Royals to the Division 2 camogie league title in 2016.
