by george zimmerman. he didn t say i see a guy in a hoodie that looks suspicious. he didn t point that out. in his previous 46 calls, it didn t seem to be a hoodie that triggered his response that there was something wrong. but in six of those calls that had been released he did seem to find a black guy through his neighborhood alarming. incredibly ridiculous comment. they weren t all in hoodies. we re learning more and more about the involvement of alec, the nra, the koch brothers. we re now seeing it through the state legislatures and republican governors. were you surprised to hear that those groups were involved? no. i had very personal experience with it in 1999 and 2000 after the columbine shootings when the same group wanted to fight basic back ground checks for people buying gun at gun shows. these are terrible laws. they encourage shoot-outs them encourage conflict when conflict
problems with conservatives is the fact that they re not demanding. you know they re more kind of live and let live. see what s happening. and they have got to learn from the liberals and make some noise? yeah, one of the points that we make in the book, i think, pretty strongly is that there are pretty significant differences between the far left and what we re calling mainstream america in terms of their character type. character type of the mainstream is much more live and let live conflict avoidance, personal responsibilities expressed through taking care of their personal lives, their families, their businesses, the far left is much more combative, argumentative, confrontational and in your face than mainstream is. the system we talked about a moment ago is the right needs a strategy and it involves the three r s. and they are recognize, reframe and refocus. briefly, what does that mean? recognize the path that the left wants to take you down. they always want to put us on

hello, everyone. i m erin burnett. outfront tonight, a flat tax from presidential candidate, rick perry. it is time to pass a tax that is flat and fair and frees our employers and out people to invest and grow and prosper. he calls it flat. but the bottom line is it isn t really. the right word is sort of lumpy. here s why. a true flat tax would mean all americans start paying a flat tax of 20%. that s perry s rate on their income with no deductions. that s not how this works though. you keep your current rate or pick his new 20% rate. by allowing people to remain in their current tax bracket, americans will continue to pay different rates. there are six federal income tax rates now. perry s new plan, because we don t have a 20, will make it seven. that s lumpy. a poor flat tax doesn t allow for deductions, capital dividends, state and local taxes. we re joking a little. we all want bold ideas, and politically, you can t wake up and throw out and old system and go to a
