Particular the stress upon individual rights, the governments role in essentially either directing those rights if you have a more libertarian view for making it possible for you to have the full employment of the rights if you have a more progressive view. In either event, the purpose is to provide liberty or protect liberty. And part of the argument on my book, this purposeness, this is undermin undermined, the very system that brought rise to. Well get into this. But can republicans, democrats, progressives, conservatives, do they all consider themselves to be liberal democrats in the generic sense . Yeah, part of what im trying to argue in the book, basically what we think of as our the span of our political spectrum is basically occupied by rightleaning liberals and leftleaning liberals or has been until very recent times.
