Concord Fire Department Deputy Chief Sean Brown comes from a long line of police officers, but he always wanted to be a firefighter.
“It’s cliché, or funny maybe, but since I was a little boy, since I can remember, it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do,” Brown said.
This week he was named Concord’s new fire chief. The city announced Thursday that Brown was chosen to be the next head of Concord’s Fire Department, effective next week. He will be taking the reins from interim Fire Chief Guy Newbery, who will be returning to retirement.
