A Pittsburg police investigation revealed the men who shot and killed 34-year-old Rafael Lopez were likely in search of 15-17 pounds of marijuana inside the home, and that a suspect was on the phone with one of Lopez's friends throughout the night.
Mark Thomas pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter and assault charges stemming from the December 2019 death of 34-year-old Rafael Lopez of Pittsburg.
