One must be vigilant when observing experience, not only to guard against dangers, but also to become aware of the opportunities that lay ahead. The children of Israel, representing the different behaviors of making a sustained survey of the many things advancing forward in experience,1 established tribal encampments in the previous parashah. Last week’s blog emphasized that embedded within the tapestry of our lives there are specific experiences created for us by God that we should focus on and engage.
