Public school teachers work longer without enough support - survey

UMIL MANILA – Public school teachers are working longer hours while lacking support from the government in implementing distance learning for school year 2020-2021, a recent survey by the Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) showed. The survey was conducted from March 29 to April 11 with 6,731 public school teachers as respondents. The survey showed that more than 70 percent of the teachers deem the distance learning workload “as negatively impacting on their physical and mental health.”
