As with most things this year the regatta had to be rescheduled from January to work around travel restrictions. It was great to have 50 boats entered in spite of the new dates. The weather in April was expected to be different from January with fewer, lighter sea breezes and potentially fickle westerlies. The Flying 11 class is also very lucky to have continued support from title sponsor Allen and contributions from LIros Ropes, Vaikobi, Ullman Sails and Composite Spars & Tubes.

Allen Australian Flying 11 Championship © Australian Flying 11 Association It will not come as a surprise, but it is still with a strong sense of sadness, that Australian F11 Association are announcing the Allen Flying 11 Nationals scheduled for January will be postponed because of the ongoing COVID-19 driven challenges impacting our ability to put on a fair and safe regatta attracting all who wish to attend. Although there are some promising signs which made it tempting to hang on and hope for a bit longer, the consensus amongst members was to make a decision now and allow everyone to plan accordingly. The uncertainties surrounding the status of both the NSW Health and QLD border restrictions over the coming weeks gave the Association little real choice.
