Hong Kong: Undergraduate subsidy to rise
The annual subsidy amount of the Non-means-tested Subsidy Scheme for Self-financing Undergraduate Studies in Hong Kong will increase from $32,100 to $33,100, the Government announced today.
It said the subsidy amount is adjusted in accordance with the movement of the Composite Consumer Price Index.
In the 2021-22 academic year, the scheme will cover the eligible full-time self-financing locally accredited local and non-local first-year-first-degree and top-up degree programmes offered by 16 institutions.
Applications for the subsidy need to be made through the institutions concerned.
The adjusted subsidy level will apply to both new and continuing eligible students and the subsidy is tenable for the normal duration of the programmes concerned.
