In a study published in Applied Physics Letters, researchers created a differential-based ultrafast amplitude detection method devoid of any intrinsic latency with the basic trigonometric theorem.
Researchers have recently created a new ultrafast amplitude detector to enable even greater temporal resolution for high-speed atomic force microscopy. Their paper may form part of the foundation for a faster atomic force microscope that would enable non-destructive inspection of fast, dynamic, biomolecular processes and events.
