Thats wild. There is an alert this morning for muni commuters in San Francisco. Your train could be really, really crowded. Problem with the new fleet. Another problem on top of the other high profile issues that needed fixes this year. Amy hollyfield is in the west portal neighborhood. Theyre having quite a few problems with these new trains. This issue is the pins that hold the trains together what this means for you if youre a muni rider is trains will be crowded today. Theyre not using as many cars as usual. Muni will be running about a dozen trains with just one car instead of two. The report says the pins that hold the trains together need to be replaced. The manufacturer is sending new pins and is paying for the replacements. The company, semem siemans is a redesigning the pins. Muni bought 68 new trains in the last year from the new company. They had to fix the new brakes on the trains, add sensors to the doors and next year will need to replace the bench seats. Muni is calling
