Hospitalized after an accident sent a car slamming into a funeral home. The accident happened at gary boulevard around 9 45 this morning. The white chevy sedan collided with a toyota. Investigators say the toyota wound up hitting sinai Memorial Chapel right by an entrance. A 75yearold woman was taken to the hospital. We dont know the extent of her injuries and it appears nobody else was hurt. A firefighter was injured last night as crews worked to put out a fire at an abandoned church in San Franciscos ocean view neighborhood. Flames broke out after 10 00 p. M. At the old church on broad and capital streets. This is near the city line with daly city. Cell phone video shows flames coming through the doorway of the church. Neighbors say transients have used this building as a shelter from time to time. One witness said he saw a homeless person trying to put the fire out herself. I feel like some lady tried to pass the fire down, tried to stop it. She couldnt. It was way too big for her.
