Three virtual events for families will put the spotlight on science and related fields this Saturday in San Diego County.
MiraCosta College is hosting its annual STREAM Festival online for the first time since the event began nearly a generation ago. (STREAM is an acronym for science, technology, reading, engineering, arts and math.) Starting at 8:45 a.m., MiraCosta students will present six 20-minute STREAM activities that anyone from preschoolers to middle schoolers can enjoy at home. Partners in organizing the workshops include the San Diego Air and Space Museum, the North San Diego County NAACP Black Inventors, and the MiraCosta College Math Department.
