The Visioning Committee of the La Jolla Community Recreation Group is moving forward with its plans to renovate the La Jolla Recreation Center and is beginning to raise funds.
After years of planning and months of community review, plans to vacate part of Cuvier Street to help make way for a La Jolla Recreation Center renovation got the La Jolla Community Planning Association’s approval during its Nov. 4 meeting online.

A proposal to vacate Cuvier Street to accommodate an expansion to the La Jolla Recreation Center went 0 for 2 at community planning meetings this week, failing to garner a vote at either the April 20 La Jolla Development Permit Review Committee or the April 21 La Jolla Traffic & Transportation meetings. Trustees from both boards asked the applicants to return to a future meeting with more information.
