Journaling is a form of therapy. It is a method of expressing ourselves through writing down thoughts and feelings that can be extremely therapeutic. For a small investment requiring time, a notebook and a pen the reward can be great. There are several benefits of journaling. The composing of thoughts and ideas that keep replaying or cluttering our heads can reduce confusion, anxiety and depression. Putting pen to paper is a form of expression that can serve to release internalized, negative, depressive thoughts. It can bring about clarity and personal insight.
