EDWARDSVILLE A nursing facility in Maryville is facing a suit claiming they waited weeks to seek treatment for a patient who suffered injuries from a fall, resulting in his death.
Lori Yanousek, independent administrator of the Estate of Rodrick Van Dyke, Sr., deceased filed a complaint June 17 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Unlimited Development Inc., and Community Living Options Inc., doing business as Manor Court of Maryville, and/or Liberty Village of Maryville, alleging negligence.
According to the plaintiff s complaint, Van Dyke was a resident and patient at Liberty Village from June 13, 2020, through July 27, 2020, and was high risk for falls due to his medical issues and treatment. The plaintiff claims that on July 4, 2020, and July 9, 2020, Van Dyke fell and suffered a hip fracture and other injuries.
