DATE: 9 April 2021 SABSSM jobs April 2021 The HSRC will be implementing the South African National HIV prevalence, Incidence, Behaviour and Communication Survey (also known as SABSSM VI). The Human and Social Capabilities (HSC) research programme within the HSRC employs a multi-disciplinary group of social scientists and public health specialists who conduct numerous empirical and policy-related studies each year, many of which are donor-funded. The HSC research programme specialises in research on the social determinants of HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections and tuberculosis. The research strives to address these health problems at their source, namely, at both the social and population levels. It also includes social aspects of delivery models for biomedical interventions in order to optimise delivery of interventions. HSC is based in Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and Sweetwaters.

Ekpan community commends Okowa wading into its internal crisis On By Festus Ahon, ASABA The people of Ekpan community in Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State, Friday commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for wading into the crisis surrounding the appointment of Community Liason Officers, CLOs in the community. The people in a letter to the Governor, signed by Olorogun Joe Amurun, Chairman, Ekpan Integrity Group/Coalition Ekpan Patriots Groups, CEPG and Deacon M.E. Emewakeme, President, Ekpan Stakeholders Group, ESG, thanked him for asking the community to let the status quo remain in the interim on the issue of CLOs. The people under the umbrella of the Coalition of Ekpan Patriots Group, CEPG, said; “we applaud your administration for this timely and pragmatic intervention in releasing the letter through the Director-General on Security Matters asking the community to let the status quo remain in the interim.
