Lawsuit. Todays lawsuit names eight deputies. Two others are on leave, and five still work for the department. The man at the center of the case is petrov. He led deputies on a 30 mile chase and. He was caught and beaten, resulting in a concussion and fractures. Felony . The Alameda County Sheriffs Office says five deputies didnt do anything to the level that rises to the level of being on paid leave. In addition to the investigation, task force is also investigating whether the deputy fired on friday, should be charged criminally. This november incident prompted the federal civil rights lawsuit. Lightning and they could feel the high winds. I looked out the side doors, thats when i saw this solid sheet of rain and the wind just was really tremendous.
