The Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas (CFSEK) hosted its seventh annual Match Day event Tuesday, Nov. 29. CFSEK hosts Match Day each year to join in the celebration of generosity on Giving Tuesday, a national day dedicated to giving and philanthropy.
“We had a very good day,” said Devin Gorman, executive director of the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas, about the foundation’s Match Day that coincided with National Giving Tuesday on Nov. 29.
For their second annual Christmas bike giveaway, the Pittsburg Area Young Professionals (PAYP) set a goal of raising enough money to donate twice as many bicycles to local children in need as last year. This week, they announced they have achieved that objective.

On Wednesday evening the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas (CFSEK) hosted its annual grant celebration at the Frisco Event Center, celebrating the 91 grants awarded in 2022, totaling $288,854.
