The Bellevue City Council will hear a presentation today, Dec. 11, by Sunrise Engineering outlining a proposed affordable-housing district and business core overlay to increase the number of affordable-housing units
The Bellevue City Council will review the cityâs annual audit Monday night at 6 p.m.
The audit report for the fiscal year ending on Sept. 30 shows that capital expenditures were $1,473,273, or $200,901 less than the $1,674,174 budgeted. City Clerk/Treasurer Marian Edwards said the auditorâs report could shed light on any unexpected changes to the cityâs finances.
During Monday s meeting, the City Council will also consider granting an extension of six months for final plat approval for the first phase of the Strahorn subdivision development. Final plat is the last approval necessary before a developer can sell lots.
âSuch an extension is appropriate under the present circumstances, particularly in light of the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on construction activities over the past year,â wrote the Strahorn developerâs attorney Jim Laski in a letter to Community Development Director Diane Shay on Dec. 8.
