A human rights activist and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, has appealed to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to work with the Lekki Phase 1 Residents Association in Lagos State to achieve a workable arrangement that will guarantee the security and safety of lives and property following the removal of street gates. The legal practitioner made the appeal to the governor in a statement issued on Sunday titled, "An Appeal To Governor Sanwo-Olu On Lekki Phase 1 Street Gates."
The Ogun State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency has embarked on a sensitisation and awareness campaign programme in a bid to prevent the outbreak of cholera and other water-borne diseases.
According to the statement, the government's will to create a safe and secure environment is seriously threatened by those who act against the street-gate laws.
