Posted: Feb 11, 2021 6:00 PM AT | Last Updated: February 11 Christopher Michael Watts, 60, served a 12-year sentence for manslaughter in the death of a 13-year-old girl he sexually assaulted while she was passed out. (Halifax Regional Police) A Saint John judge has reserved decision on whether a man once described as a cunning, voracious sexual predator breached the conditions of his release while at a halfway house in the city. Christopher Michael Watts, 60, was charged with breaching the conditions of a long-term supervision order that was imposed when he was sentenced in 2003 for manslaughter in the death of a 13-year-old girl.  Watts was also convicted of sexual interference and sexual assault of Amanda Raymond, who was comatose at his Ontario home.

High-risk offender released to live in Heritage area

(Regina Police Service/Submitted) The Regina Police Service (RPS) is warning residents of the Heritage neighbourhood about a potentially-dangerous offender living amongst them. The police issued a public advisory on Tuesday to let the public know that 46-year-old Kelly Roger Furi is living in a supervised home in the area. He has a record of violent sexual offences and a history of reoffending. According to police, he completed programming to “address his risk factors” while in jail, but according to the advisory he “has not made any progress in reducing his high risk to reoffend violently.” It is that risk of reoffending that triggered the warning.
