Traffic is blocked from Market Street down to mission, as i mentioned on south van ness the the bus line, 47 and 49 are being rerouted. Theres no word on when they will clear the package. Happened. Reporter yes, University Staff are meeting with students who live in both halls to address their concerns. The meeting started at 9 00, and is not open to the media. A student i spoke to tonight said the discovery is a little unsettling and they cant help but feel a little unsafe tonight. A student found one swastika on the third floor of Washburn Hall, and a door in a hallway. Whoever did used name badge stickers and formed a swastika that way. The other was found in a common area of one of the suites shared by seven students, where only those students could get in. On that case, it was found on a white board. A dry erase pen was used. Both swastikas had racial slurs by them. Both have been removed. The chief diversity officer spoke with us tonight, and we also spoke with students. I would say these students i know of are upset. Upset on behalf of other people. Upset at the existence of these types of hate symbols or that somebody would do that. I dont want people to take it
