HELPING OUT: Community chef Michael Cullen with Reverend Alun JoneS A WOMAN who asked for supplies to support two homeless men in Carlisle has been inundated with offers of help. Geraldine Cray, who works at the Community Chef Project Carlisle, posted on Facebook to ask if anyone had a spare tent they could offer the men. Countless people responded with offers of various items to help the men – one of whom was described as an “older gentleman” – keep warm. Residents offered clothes, tents, sleeping bags and coats, and Geraldine was amazed with the response from the public. She said: “We’ve had a couple of guys come in that are homeless. One is an older chap and they have nothing to keep them warm.
