We regret to advise the Community Bushland Walk scheduled for Friday 3 November at 9am has been cancelled due to the Vice-Regal couple's attendance at the State Funeral of the 21st Governor-General of Australia, the Honourable Bill Hayden AC.
On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a Community Bushland Walk in support of Child Protection Week, in partnership with Health and Wellbeing Queensland, and the Governor addressed guests.
Following, at Government House, Her Excellency received the High Commissioner for Pakistan, His Excellency Mr Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri.
Following, at Government House, via teleconference, Her Excellency presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.
In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo departed Government House for Official Travel to Cairns Regional Council.
Following, at Government House, students from Wandoan State School visited for a guided tour of the house and gardens.
In the evening, at The Benson Hotel, Cairns, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the 2023 Cairns Amateurs President’s Welcome Cocktail Reception, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the evening, at Parliament House, Brisbane, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Victoria League Brisbane for Commonwealth Friendship Dinner to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee and Birthday of Her Majesty The Queen, and the Governor addressed guests.
