Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois’ is offering something new at the upcoming Cheeseburger in Paradise fundraising event.
This year an online auction will be open to the public starting at 7 a.m.Wednesday, May 26 and will end at 8 p.m. Friday, June 4.
Breann Titus, CAPCIL Director of Agency Development, said the auction helps many programs the agency facilitates.
“Items have been donated from various businesses and organizations in Logan, Mason, Dewitt, Menard, and Fulton Counties. Participants will have opportunities to bid on several gift cards, weekend getaways, overnight stays, gift baskets, and more. All proceeds go to support CAPCIL’s mission and includes programs such as Meals on Wheels, Head Start, Food Pantry Cooperative, Senior Transportation and several more poverty fighting initiatives,” wrote Titus in a statement.

Lincoln, IL - Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois’ (CAPCIL) annual fundraiser Cheeseburger in Paradise, will be held on June 5th, 2021 at the Lincoln Banquet Center in Lincoln, IL.
This year’s event will look a little different due to COVID guidelines and restrictions but will include options for in-person, carry out and virtual participation. Currently, table sponsorships to attend the in-person event are sold out, however carry out meal tickets are available for purchase through May 20th.

Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois’ (CAPCIL) Food Pantry Co-op is joining the AmpleHarvest.org Campaign - a nationwide program to enable neighborhood food pantries to be easily located by local backyard gardeners wishing to share their excess garden bounty with neighbors in need.
The AmpleHarvest.org web site enables food pantries to register their name, phone, address, an optional photograph of the pantry to make it easier to find, and day[s] and time[s] they can accept the gardeners produce. Gardeners and other donors also have the option of using the AmpleHarvest iPhone and Android apps available as a free downloads.
