The Grey Sauble Conservation Authority is receiving $1,000 to support invasive species education and community action.
The $1,000 will go to Buckthorn Control at the Massie Hills Management Unit, in the Municipality of Meaford.
The Education and Community Action Microgrant Awards For Ontario are part of the Ontario Invasive Species Centre’s 10-Year Anniversary celebrations.
This funding also went to 23 other organizations across the province. Executive Director at the Invasive Species Centre Sarah Rang says, “we are pleased to support the exciting microgrant project work being completed this year to support prevention and management of invasive species.”
