New VA Hospital Coming To Tulsa In 2023

New VA Hospital Coming To Tulsa In 2023 Veterans living in the Tulsa metro area will soon have a new VA hospital available to them. Congress approved $120 million on December 21, and President Trump signed it into law Sunday, to build a new veterans hospital in downtown Tulsa. The hospital will be located at 7th and Houston on the expanded OSU Medical Center Campus; it will convert the existing Kerr-Edmondson Buildings on the site into a 275,000 square-foot, 58-bed medical-surgical hospital for veterans. More than 30,000 veterans in the Tulsa metro area currently travel to the Jack C. Montgomery Medical Center in Muskogee to receive services. An estimated 78,000 veterans in the Eastern Oklahoma VA area are closer to Tulsa than to Muskogee, leading planners to estimate that the new hospital could help up to 14,000 more veterans each year.
