Judith butler is a fundamental voice in our understanding of gender, sexuality, politics, theory and of the author of 13 books including like i said the force of nonviolence. I thought we might begin our conversati helping readers understand that intervenon of the book the sort of conceptual basis in your argumen for reimagining the conception for nonviolence. The book sort of encourages an understanding of nonviolence thats left rooted in a kind of individual morality and a more than concerted politic practice. U process, i believe that we also could have some discretion in how quickly we would process that perm mit permit removed. Im going to refer to the Zoning Administrator on this. the tenant issue is always chachallenging because obviously its allowing it out side the purview of the code. If its not legalized if it is required to be removed and theres an existing tenant that does become an enforcement situation if we have an unauthorized unpermitted unit that may have life safety deficiencies. We generally want that unit to be vacated. Aobviously theres challenges with an existing tenant. We want to be open to options there. And its right it was hard to miss it 30 foot tall statue here right behind me and now its replaced with a sign from the city the city letting people know this morning why they decided to remove that statue again were going to show you what it looks like here before it was removed. You can see this sir Francis Drake statue it had been here for many years i talked to residents in the area this morning. We were confused as to why was in here this morning. They are so used to seeing on their morning jog. Now people have been calling for the removal of the metal statue for weeks protesters said they wanted the statue gone because sir Francis Drake was a slave trader. Now theres a sign left by the city like i mention that says they temporarily remove the statue in response to demonstrators saying they were going to remove the statue them sales and so the city wanted to make sure they removed it before that happened now a petition on change dot org had rec
