Tributes to former Royal Navy officer killed in crash with lorry The family of a man who died following a crash between two cars and a lorry on a Hampshire road have today paid tribute to him. Police were called to the incident at junction 3 of the A3(m) near Waterlooville at 11.40am last Tuesday. The driver of one of the cars, Malcolm Williams, 69, of Gains Road, Southsea, was pronounced dead at the scene. Paying tribute to the retired Royal Navy officer and former Chief Executive of the Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society in Chichester, his family said: Commodore Malcolm Williams CBE RN was a man of principle, fortitude and compassion and a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

for Raoul Island with MetService and GNS Science staff
aboard to carry out essential tasks, including maintenance
of critical weather and tsunami warning
systems.
Maritime Component Commander Commodore Mat
Williams said the re-supply mission, which left on Monday,
was delayed a week and scaled back after Auckland went into
COVID-19 alert level three.
The mission was now going
ahead over the next week to carry out critical re-supply and
maintenance tasks, he said.
