Former NAF chief Nsikak Eduok laid to rest in Akwa Ibom

TODAY February 27, 2021 It was a harvest of tributes for a former Chief of Air Staff, late Air Marshall Nsikak Eduok as his remains were laid to rest in his hometown in Ibesikpo Asutan, Akwa Ibom state on Saturday. Chief of Air Staff, Oladayo Amao who spoke at the Ibom Hall grounds Uyo during the funeral service conducted by United Evangelical Church, Founded as Qua Iboe Church, described late AM Eduok as a man of valour, integrity and a great achiever with unprecedented strive for success. Based on these sterling attributes, the Force has decided to immortalise him by naming Ultrafit Gymnasium center at the Nigerian Air Force Base Yola after him.

BREAKING: NIN registration: Federal Government extends deadline

Daily Post Nigeria Published The Federal Government has extended the National Identity Number, NIN, registration deadline by 8 weeks This was contained in a statement signed by Mr. Kayode Adegoke, Head, Corporate, National Identity Management Commission, NIMC. “The ongoing National Identification Number (NIN) and Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) integration exercise has been extended by 8 weeks, with a new deadline of April 6, 2021,” he said. According to the statement, this message was conveyed by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Pantami, during the meeting of the Ministerial Taskforce on NIN-SIM registration, which was held on the 1st of February, 2021.

Abia's Ikpeazu consoles Gov Udom on death of four Akwa Ibom prominent citizens

Daily Post Nigeria Published Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has urged Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel to draw courage and strength from God’s word at difficult and challenging times. Governor Ikpeazu said this on Monday, at Government House Uyo when he paid a condolence visit to the Governor and the people of Akwa Ibom State on the death of four of their very prominent sons, who died within the first month of this year. The Abia Governor described the deaths of those men in quick succession as very sad and disturbing, especially considering the fact that they were men with lots of experience who had served and were still rendering service to the people of Akwa Ibom State.

COVID-19: Buhari mourns 20 doctors, pledges better welfare package Olalekan Adetayo The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, on Saturday quoted the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), as paying tributes to 20 Nigerian doctors who reportedly died of COVID-19 within one week. The Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association, Abuja chapter, Enema Amodu, had at a press conference on Friday discloser the deaths of the medical practitioners. He said the deceased health workers included consultants, professors and some resident doctors, while adding that the figures keep increasing daily. Shehu, in a statement titled “President Buhari salutes the sacrifices of 20 doctors killed by COVID-19; mourns Chief Ajakpo, Air Commodore Nkanga,” qouted Buhari as saying that as aying health workers’ welfare is a priority for his regime.
