you have search, share, your start button, devices, and your main computer settings. on the left side you can swipe to bring back all of the previous apps that you were using. a quick swipe out and back in. it will bring up a list of the most recently used apps, and you can jump from here fro one to the next. another cool new feature of windows 8 is the ability to have two apps on the screen at the same time. i ll bring up abc news, drag it to the left side. and there you go. now i have access to abc news and i can still continue working on my excel spread sheet here on the right-hand side. you can find more tips and tricks online. for people who already have windows, an upgrade to windows 8 will cost you $40. tina trinh, abc new, new york. think we should spring for it? 40 bucks? as slow as these things are? whatever upgrade our computers here at the desk. i enjoy the commodore 2000.
