Hanover Township Administrator Giorgio to retire

HANOVER TWP. – After 39 years as the administrator for Hanover Township, Joseph Giorgio will be retiring on July 1, 2021. The Township Committee accepted his letter of retirement in a reluctant but unanimous vote at the Thursday, Dec. 10 committee Zoom meeting. “It’s hard to believe on Dec. 31, 2020 I will complete 39 years as the township business and Township Clerk,” Giorgio read from his retirement request letter. “It has been a privilege and an honor to serve the residents of Hanover Township, the current Township Committee and all those Township Committees since I started on Jan. 1, 1982. With mixed feelings I announce my retirement effective July 1, 2021. I feel gratified that during my tenure I initiated many positive changes in cooperation with the governing body.
