respected law enforcement agency, i think with him at the home, that would even increase of stature, i have no doubts that he will be independent, quite honestly, i am looking forward to the briefings where we will see them even in a more direct and transparent form, but i have no doubt in my mind that he is going to go where the facts lead him, he is going to keep a healthy separation between the agency and all of the elections on capitol hill and down to the other end of pennsylvania avenue. bill: senator, thank you for your time, senator from north carolina on that committee yesterday, thank you, sir. shannon. it s shannon: all right, so we are keeping an eye on paris, where the president is headed to the presidential palace, or the first couples talk together, and then the two leaders talk in private. we will keep an eye on that in then take you there live. back at home, will republicans come together on a new health care bill? skepticism already mounting,

when we started the process faster than anyone in the house expected. it is also up to the senate to make the improvements. and i have talked to 6 of the 12 members of the senate committee yesterday. the working group, including leader mcconnell and others, and everyone is excited and ready to go to work and take the time necessary to look at the bill, make improvements where they need to be made, and then the bill will be brought back for conference. the house bill is not going to come before us. the senate is starting from scratch. we re going to draft our own bill. and i m convinced that we re going to take the time to do it right. my goal is to actually expand coverage for those 28 million americans who still lag coverage today despite the aca. all right. the health care overhaul is set

steve bannon to serve a subpoena. bannon essentially directed those agents to his attorney. the goal, to get him to cooperate with the investigation, which by all accounts he is planning to do. separately, we know that yesterday obviously he appeared before the house intelligence committee to talk about things related to the russia probe. but he told the committee yesterday, steph, that the white house had directed him not to talk about anything that related to his time during the transition or in the administration. now, the white house didn t deny that, but said that, look, there s a process that has to be worked through between congress and the white house, and that essentially bannon or anyone who works with the white house can t talk about classified information. so that was the perspective of the white house yesterday. press secretary sarah sanders as well. but democrats on the committee said that wasn t good enough.
